This is the third in the Isabel Dalhousie series. Because Isabel is the editor of a philosophical magazine, we are called to ponder such issues as: What is our responsibility to reveal a hurtful truth? Do each of us have a price for which we would compromise our sense of right? Is it a good idea to sleep with your niece's much younger ex-boyfriend? This books have the weight and intimacy of the Mitford series and are oh so Scottish.
