Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik

Five women - three generations - one book group.  The five all meet as adults living on Freesia Court in an upper middle class suburb of Minnesota in the late 60's.  Life is perfect and it is not.  There is one dead husband, one cheating husband, one abusive husband and two good guys.  One woman is hyper sexual, one a feminist wannabee, one is dying and two are harboring secrets.  Each chapter begins with the title of the book being discussed that month and a focus on the host.  There is a lot of humor, significant drama and every cliche possible about female friendship.  I don't know if I wish my book group was more like this or if I am glad it is not or if it is possible the groups are more alike than I know.  This is basically a good beach read with book group discussion possibilities.
