The Secret Between Us by Barbara Delinsky

Have you ever wondered how far you would go to protect your child?  Delinsky presents a number of moral and ethical dilemmas for us to consider from the crazy making perspective of  a parent.  Dr. Monroe is a pillar of her small community and there is nothing she wouldn't do to protect her teen-age daughter. However when lies start to pile up one after another, it becomes harder to tell if she is doing the right thing for the wrong reason or the wrong thing for the right reason.  This is not great literature but thought provoking nonetheless.
