This book follows the lives of four women who have all been victims of the Holocaust in various ways but now all find themselves in the Atlit refugee camp in Palestine. Carried there in cattle cars, kept behind barbed wire fences, this is not the freedom they expected. As their friendship in this camp is forged so is a plan to escape.
