Tolstoy and the Purple Chair by Nina Sankovitch
This is much more about Sankovitch dealing with her sister's death (the reason for her reading) than about the 365 books ( 1 a day) that she reads. Many of the titles she chooses are about grief or at least those are the ones that she talks most about. She treats the reading as her job - that allows her to take the time to read. She still takes care of her 4 kids and the rest of her daily life - with probably more help than is made clear in the book. She does list all the titles and it was interesting to see how many I had read and how many I had never heard of.
