The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb

I really didn't like this book. It starts with two characters I didn't much like - one is deeply disturbed by her role in the Columbine shooting and the other is a whiner. Their marriage is strained to the point of disaster which may be the real story - it's hard to tell. To top it all off the ending is lame. It's the kind of disastrous relationship story that often ended up on the early Oprah's list (as did his earlier book). If you didn't question Lamb's ability to get into his characters in his earlier books, you might like this.
