Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum

I find this genre of Holocaust outside the camp book most interesting - the idea of living at the edge of something horrible - life becoming unbearable except for the fact that it is the only way to avoid an even more horrible situation. The characters seemed true and even the ending, which you knew had to be what it was, was believable because of the characters.
